Products & Development
Scaled Plus is much more than a company that builds large scale trains. We turn dreams into reality. Bring your vision to a quiet corner of industry where years of engineering and manufacturing experience merge with a desire to create beautiful sculpture, and anything is possible. Our business has been built out of moving people safely and efficiently, but our passion is moving people in style.
How one photograph became a reality.

The photograph shown above was part of a private collection donated to the North Bay and Area Museum. Taken in 1881 while still belonging to the St. Lawrence and Ottawa River Railway, the Lucy Dalton is shown just outside of Kempville station the year before she was purchased by the Canadian Pacific Railway and sent to North Bay.
It was the artistic content in this project that became the essence of Scaled Plus. Therefore, the final presentation of the replica was as important as the actual performance of the locomotive. If the project was to be a success, both had to be kept to the highest of standards. The aforementioned picture was all that remained of the original locomotive. Fortunately the Lucy Dalton belongs to a common class of locomotives known as American 4-4-0s, and by looking at pictures of other locomotives in her class, the three-quarter view shown in the photograph was eventually interpreted from all other angles of sight.
